These terms apply when you use the SignaraScan app and its services (fax and cloud backup). By using the app you agree to them. If you got the app from the App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply.
1. The app
SignaraScan lets you scan or import documents, sign and annotate them, and save, share or fax them as PDF. Most features work on your device without an account. Fax and cloud backup need an account, created by signing in with Apple or Google.
2. Signatures
Only sign documents you are entitled to sign, and only with your own signature. You are responsible for checking that a document is complete and correct before you sign, share or fax it.
3. Free trial and subscriptions
- Free trial. New users get 14 days of Pro features without payment details. Cloud backup and included fax pages are not part of the trial.
- Plans. Pro and Pro Cloud are auto-renewing subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly by Apple or Google at the price shown in the app.
- Renewal. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
- Cancelling and refunds. Manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by the store under its policies.
- When a plan ends. You keep your documents. You can still open, share, export, rename and delete them; creating and editing new ones needs a plan.
4. Fax
- Faxes can be sent to numbers in the United States and Canada.
- Pro includes 30 fax pages per month and Pro Cloud 50 (yearly plans receive the same amount each month). Unused plan pages don't carry over. Page packs bought separately don't expire. One page, including a cover page, uses one fax page.
- If a fax cannot be delivered, the pages it used are returned. We can't guarantee delivery, which depends on the receiving machine and phone network.
- To prevent abuse we may limit how many pages or faxes an account can send per day or to one number per hour.
- You must not send unsolicited advertisements (for example, faxes prohibited by the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act and Junk Fax Prevention Act), unlawful content, or faxes to people who have asked not to receive them.
- SignaraScan is not designed for HIPAA-regulated transmissions and we do not sign Business Associate Agreements.
5. Cloud backup
Cloud backup is available with Pro Cloud and is off until you turn it on. We aim to keep your backups safe and available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, so keep important documents in more than one place. If your Pro Cloud plan ends, backed-up data is kept for 30 days and then deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may set a reasonable storage limit per account and will tell you in the app before you reach it.
6. Your content
Your documents and signatures belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and transmit them only as needed to provide the features you use (for example, to back them up or deliver a fax). We don't use them for anything else.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use SignaraScan to break the law, infringe others' rights, forge signatures, commit fraud, or interfere with our services. We may suspend fax or cloud features for accounts that do.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, missed deadlines or rejected documents. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
9. Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account in Settings → Cloud backup. We may end or suspend access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.
